Students take university admissions examinations during secondary school to assess students’ readiness for university level work. These are often taken within the same time frame of the academic pathway preparation examinations. Our well-designed curriculum incorporates these extra courses to enable dual success in upcoming assessments.
Advanced Placement gives students the chance to tackle university-level work while still in secondary school and earn university credit, placement and even scholarships, depending on scores achieved. Students can register for the following subjects:
Nearly all colleges and universities in the United States and Canada — and many institutions in over 100 other countries — grant credit and placement for qualifying AP Exam scores. The College Board The exam administers the exam, and it is usually taken in May.
University of Oxford, UK, accepts Advanced Placement as a sufficient alternative to A-level combined with SAT.
SAT is a university admission test administered by the United States College Board to assess students’ readiness for college. Taking the SAT is required for first-year entry to many, but not all, colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. The exams are taken in October, December, March, and May. The College encourages students to prepare for the October and December exam to meet early or regular admission to a university.
The University of Toronto, Canada requires Senior Year/Grade 12 Diploma in an accredited high school with a high-grade point average and high scores in SAT Reasoning or Redesigned SAT (including Essay).
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is administered by the Joint Matriculation Examination Board for prospective undergraduates into Nigerian universities. The curriculum is in line with the WAEC pathway but requires more depth of knowledge. Students interested in Nigerian universities are registered for the exam and are thus adequately prepared for the rigorous examination, which is usually held in March/April.
